UGOITA Global Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UGOITA Global website, UGOITA PLUS subscriptions, digital educational content, communications, and related services provided by Undou to Igaku no Shuppansha Co., Ltd. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope

  1. These Terms apply to all users of the Services.
  2. Additional guidelines, pricing pages, promotional terms, FAQs, platform rules, and policies may apply to particular features or offers. If there is a conflict, the specific terms for that feature or offer will control.

2. Eligibility And Account Registration

  1. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering for an account or purchasing a subscription.
  2. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian and to the extent permitted by law.
  3. We may refuse service or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, sanctions risks, legal non-compliance, or prior material violations of these Terms.

3. Account Security

  1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  2. You may not share, transfer, sell, sublicense, or otherwise allow another person to use your account or access credentials.

4. Nature Of The Services

  2. The Services are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not provide individualized medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, supervision, licensure, or legal compliance guidance.
  3. You remain solely responsible for how you interpret and apply any content, including in professional or clinical settings.
  4. Unless expressly stated otherwise, core educational content may be delivered in Japanese, and English subtitles or translated materials may be provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that translated subtitles or materials will be perfectly complete or error-free.

5. Fees, Billing, Free Trials, And Auto-Renewal

  1. Subscription fees, billing cycles, taxes, currency, and trial terms are shown on the applicable pricing or checkout page.
  2. By starting a paid subscription or free trial, you authorize us and our designated payment processor to charge the payment method you provide in accordance with the plan you selected.
  3. If a free trial is offered, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  4. Paid subscriptions automatically renew for the selected billing cycle unless canceled before the next renewal date.
  5. If payment cannot be completed, or if we reasonably suspect fraud, chargeback abuse, or unauthorized activity, we may suspend or terminate access to the Services.

6. Cancellation And Refunds

  1. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings or another method we designate.
  2. If you cancel during a free trial, you will not be charged for the first paid billing period, provided the cancellation is completed before the trial ends.
  3. Unless required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise at checkout, fees paid after a paid billing period begins are non-refundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods or unused access.
  4. The effective date of cancellation and any remaining access period will be as described at checkout, in your account settings, or in any plan-specific terms presented to you.

7. License And Intellectual Property

  1. The Services and all related content, trademarks, branding, software, videos, graphics, subtitles, course materials, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
  2. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services for your own internal, non-commercial educational purposes.
  3. Except as expressly permitted by us in writing, you may not:
    1. Copy, record, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, translate, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the Services
    2. Share your account, login credentials, or paid access with another person
    3. Circumvent paywalls, access controls, security features, or territorial restrictions

9. Feedback And User Submissions

  1. If you send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, reviews, or similar submissions, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and incorporate that feedback to operate and improve the Services.
  2. You represent that any information you submit is lawful, accurate, and does not violate the rights of any third party.
